Infection Prevention Practices in Dental Settings ONSITE COURSE
COURSE OVERVIEW:
This course is designed to provide the participants with an understanding of infection prevention practices in dental clinics.
The course will cover infection control principles, personal protective equipment, sterilization and disinfection techniques, and managing infectious diseases in the dental setting.
The course will also explore the role of dental professionals in preventing the spread of infectious diseases and protecting patients and staff from exposure.

OBJECTIVES:
Introduction to Infection Prevention Practices in the dental setting.
Definition of infection control and its Importance in dental settings.
Describe pathogens most common in dental settings.
Chain of infection and mode of transmission in dental settings.
Policies and Procedures of Standard Precautions Practices.
Updated Guidelines in infection control in dental settings (COVID-19).
Management of patients with known infections in the dental setting.
